Happy Tuesday! I am excited to share with you all my super easy IKEA Besta Floating Sideboard Hack. Minus the hardware, this sideboard was $300 and is a showstopper in our living room. Everyone that walks into our living room comments on it. When I started looking for sideboards I wanted to find something that looked high end without a large price tag. See the details below on how I made this Ikea Besta Sideboard look high end on a small budget!

2- $20 Ikea Besta White Glass Top
2- $120 Ikea Besta Cabinets in Lappivken Walnut Grey Effect Light Gray
4- Ikea Besta Suspension Rails
Now on to the fun part, picking out your hardware. I opted for a brass and marble knob from Anthropologie. Hardware makes such a difference this is one thing I am willing to splurge a little on.
1). Build the Ikea Besta Units
2). Attach the suspension rails to studs you will need a leveler and a stud finder to ensure they are hung properly and safely (this is very important).
3). Attach the Besta Units to the suspension rails
4). Place the glass top
5). Install your hardware. I listed an amazing tool for making sure you place the hardware in the correct place, as well as a great stud finder and level.
Woila! You have an expensive looking sideboard for under $320 (not including your knobs).
Let me know if you have any questions! I am glad to help, now for the fun part decorating it!

Awesome !!!! Love this ????
Can you please tell us at what height you mounted the cabinets? and how tall are your ceilings? Thank you!
Hi! So the top of cabinets are at 40″ I would have gone a little lower personally but it was too late to change it! My ceiling height is 10 feet. Hope that helps!
I love IKEA hacks and this one is no exception! It’s SO GOOD and those pulls are the icing on the cake!
I love the hack, Bethany! How high did you mount the sideboard? Is it 36″ high? could be great for a home office/workspace too!
That’s pretty much genius, Bethany! And I LOVE the unique hardware you picked out! xoxo
Aw thank you!!!
I love when something looks expensive, but it’s not! I think we might do this in our master! Thx for the hack.
This is absolutely gorgeous. How did you get the wood look ?
Hi! It is their walnut finish. It comes like that :).
