Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I can’t believe we are getting close to September. Where has time gone?  I recently did some updates to my master bedroom that I am excited to share with you all (and I have a drastic before photo below from when we purchased the home!).  I really like to update and refresh ever so often since it’s so easy to do even on a budget.  The color scheme in my bedroom is black, ivory, with gold, and blush.  The overall feel I wanted to achieve with my bedroom was relaxing and romantic.  I like to keep it somewhat neutral with a pop of color.
Nightstands: I first added some new nightstands that I purchased from At Home.  I didn’t want traditional nightstands with drawers since I feel like they just collect clutter.  I fell in love with these gold bamboo style mirrored tables and they were extremely affordable. They were exactly what I was looking for.
I styled them with some candles, flowers, plants, and books.
Lighting is so important.  I love to keep lighting somewhat dim and these lamps from At Home were a perfect fit.  It’s also super easy to change out the shade so when I want to switch up my color scheme I can easily add a different shade.
Rugs are a great touch to add comfort especially since I don’t have any carpet only hardwood floors throughout.  I added these faux sheepskin rugs they are so comfortable!  I really liked the look and feel they give off.
Functional Accent Furniture: If you have space in your bedroom I would recommend you add a bench or a settee at the end of the bed.  I fell in love with this blush pink ottoman bench from At Home.  It’s super comfortable to sit on and adds the perfect touch of pink with a modern kick with the acrylic legs.  Best of all it was super affordable and a great piece to finish off my room!
I had to share a before photo of the room when we first purchased the home. Â I chose a very different color scheme as you can see!
I hope you enjoyed my master bedroom reveal!  Fortunately it was super easy and affordable to add a few decor items to refresh my room.
